Fatma
Fatma is a methodical and prolific painter whose work combines rhythm, repetition, and bold colour choices. She paints from right to left in rows, applying a rhythmic pattern of brushstrokes that build layered sequences of colour. Between each line, she carefully selects the next hue - announcing “pink,” “green,” or “blue” aloud. These colour sequences often recur across multiple works, especially those made in a single session, creating progressions that carry a very distinct mood or tonal feeling. Over these foundations, she sometimes overlays grids, waves, or shapes, adding further depth and rhythm. The result is a striking body of abstract work that radiates energy, precision, and an attentiveness to colour and the moods it can convey.
