Felix
Unlike many of us, Felix is unafraid to begin. He leaps into painting with total engagement, layering stripes, smears, and dapples into blooming fields of colour and light. His practice is meditative, focused and intuitive. Artbox is a vital part of Felix’s week, offering materials and space to explore and express. His father, Paul, describes Felix’s deep curiosity about the world - he loves cafes, car journeys, and people-watching - but says this quiet observation is the only outside influence on his work. Felix has no desire for recognition or reward; his art is not shaped by ambition. “It’s very interesting to live with someone who doesn’t think something should be anything other than it is,” Paul reflects. Felix makes art simply, and entirely, for himself.
