Lekan
Lekan’s art is full of energy, humour, and invention. Working with vibrant colours and strong, expressive lines, he creates paintings and collages that are both graphic and playful, echoing Basquiat in their colour palettes and hidden messages. His imagery shifts between animals, food, and abstract forms, sometimes blending them in surprising ways. Cats, in particular, are a recurring presence - rendered in striking palettes and animated poses that reveal his eye for character. He enjoys exploring pattern and repetition, filling his compositions with visual rhythm and detail. Often working alongside fellow artist and friend Violet, Lekan brings an infectious spirit to the studio, and whatever the subject, his work radiates spontaneity and fun.
