Lucy

Lucy works slowly and patiently, steadily filling in her grids, spirals, and interwoven circles with vibrant colour. Her process is gentle and absorbing, bringing her comfort, with pieces emerging peacefully over weeks and months. Inspired by artists like Sonia Delaunay, her work radiates with “colours like the rainbow” - bubbling, shimmering, and glowing with life. Lucy joined Artbox in 2014, and over those years has explored drawing, collage, tapestry, and sculpture. Whether making bedside lamps, clocks, or painting on handmade paper, her work celebrates rhythm, repetition, comfort and light. 

Lucy is a bright and giggly presence in the studio, and loves “a cup of tea, getting to know people, and having a laugh.”
