Rama’s work moves between the natural and the human, often drawing inspiration from animals, birds, and people. He works confidently in soft pastels and paint, creating images that balance observation with a distinct sense of form. Portraits and figures - whether from a Disney film or from famous artworks like the Mona Lisa - are a recurring theme, marked by a directness, charm and lively mark making.
Rama is a friendly and engaged presence in the studio, enjoying the buzz of the Thursday afternoon group whilst focusing on the artwork at hand.
