Seatton is known for his singular approach to figure drawing, handling of materials and composition. He often works from memory and imagination, creating recurring characters - especially his iconic “business suit man” - whose presence feels both familiar and enigmatic. A favourite technique is mono-printing, using Riso master sheets to overlay drawings and build richly textured surfaces where silhouettes, faces, and patterns emerge in subtle interplay. Whilst drawing, painting, or collaging, Seatton works prolifically and with deep focus, often across multiple pieces at once.
Since joining Artbox, his artistic voice has flourished and gained many admirers: in 2023, he was commissioned by musician CMAT to create the album artwork for her Mercury Prize nominated “Crazymad, for me”.
